A typical Russian family
A typical Russian family consists of a mother, father and one or two children. A family with 3 children is considered to be large and such a family even has rights to receive some scanty privileges.
Children are expensive for Russian people nowdays. As a family usually has only one child, parents give them all their love, that sometimes is too much for a child.
The amount of divorces in Russia is bigger than the amount of new marriages. It is often because of money and apartement problems. It is a common situation that the younger and the older generation live together in a small apartment. Sometimes there are such families where grandparents, parents and maried children live together in one not large apartment. This happens not because they love each other so much and want to live together, but because they can't afford to live separately.
Women in Russia retire at the age of 55. And they often dedicate the rest of their life to their grandchildren and spoil them with their enormous care.
I know that people in foreign countries used to travel and enjoy life when they are retired.But old people in Russia do not have such a possibility. Their pension is alway not enough to buy all the food they want.
